winch is a hyster the guy gave me all the books and toolbox has most of the tools and extra mag for pony motor winch does work.1943 model is olive drab but have found no actual markings on machine to say it saw active duty . in my mind though tractor is to nice to restore. I plan on leaving it in these work clothes.

That winch is quite popular in the old oilfields of Northwest Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. It had the power and speed for well service.

Mark,

I don't recognise the model number you gave for your Brockway but I used to push a 1960 Brockway gas job (Continental engine I think?) with a 10-speed Roadranger down the road hauling gravel in western NYS. Seeing your truck reminded me of many great memories!

Thanks for sharing-

Mark;

Welcome to the club! I have a 1943 2T Serial # 2451 SP. I was probably not too many hours down the line from you. I have the La Plante Choate blade, only straight, no angle. No winch. Mine was green at one time, but like you say, I don't think it got drafted. I think yours may be in a little better shape than mine.

Good luck with your projects and don't be afraid to ask for advice. I saved myself a LOT of wasted time and effort by picking the brains of the folks here.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
