When you bypass the oil cooler can you put plugs in t
He filter housing or do you have to loop back the line that would go to oil cooler and back?

You should use the SEARCH function in the upper right of your screen as this has been discussed many times.
The bottom line is that you need to loop them or take the Oil Filter assembly apart and remove the ball and spring that are in the "Oil Cooler Bypass" channel then you can plug them.
Not the other one which will bypass the Oil Filter.

Thanks for the answer, I've been playing mechanic on my D2, pinched for time and was in to big of hurry to do the search or just to burnt
out to do the obvious. I'm still on the steep learning curve and must rely on the senior members to keep me between the ditches. I went ahead
and used my oil cooler after all but if I must go to a full core radiator I will dissassemble and plug the oil cooler path. Thanks again.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
