Hello everyone,
Thinking of adding a pump to a J series, at some point down the road. I would love to see pics of any systems you have configured or are currently running. Also, what if anything you would change.
Thanks much!

Hi Breadler, sorry I don't have any photos to hand but what I can tell you is that I have a 3J with a LaPlante Choate pump and control - the pump mounts on the rear much like the PTO or belt pulley does, and the control/reservoir sits on the right side fender. I also have, for the same machine, an adaptor that enables me to mount a #44 hydraulic control to the front. This is not something Cat offered for the J-series but it's a pretty straightforward adaptation. The radiator cover is augmented with a stout frame internally to carry the control, and the crankshaft pulley bolt is replaced with a driveshaft adaptor. I'll see if I can upload some photos of the components. The control is stock standard so no changes there
Hi Gary, the blue question mark came up so no go on your pictures, I tried to attach 2 but got the same so I could only attach one picture at a time,
Deebo would you be able to ask someone to have a look at the attaching of more than one picture at a time ? thank you
I have pictures but can’t get them to download correctly. Send me a PM and I will get them to you by email.
Gary: sorry to knolw that your'e having an issue posting pics; ONE photo at a time is all we can do for now. Sometimes I can post quickly, other times it seems to take forever to buffer as if it needs a stiff kick in the rear.
Love to be able to see some of your photos. JM
