Having issues with identification. I thought that the early engines were a D3400 with a 3 3/4" bore. What I have is a 4" bore? Are the pistons and liners interchangeable between the D311 and the D3400? Help please Need to get some liners and not sure which way to go.

The J model D2s were all originally 3-3/4 inch, but there was an overbore kit available long ago which could make it 4", also someone could have put a U model engine in it, best post some pictures.

The liners are not interchangeable without significant machine work.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
