Didn't know if any of you have encountered this before. I'm trying to find the part number for the gasket on the two, engine crankcase inspection covers, on the injection pump side of the block. The parts book only shows the four inspection covers on the opposite side of the engine. I have tried the parts book on my 9T533 212 grader and also my 5U11427 D-2. Neither manual shows a view of that side of the block. Next stop is the Cat parts counter if no one here can help.....ThanksĀ

are the originals paper or cork. as sheet cork is still available from most industrial suppliers, engine rebuilders and auto parts joints.

you could also use nuetral cure rtv silicone, or loctite master gasket 515.

there is a seperate parts book for the engine it might be listed there. or are they the same size as the others.

Yes, the originals are cork, and I could make them, but for the cost of most of those factory gaskets, why bother. I'm sure Cat can come up with the number, I just thought someone might have additional parts book or micro fiche.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
