I wanted to revive a popular thread which was started by overall great guy Bruce Petty, but here goes. Feel free to add yours or better yet, someone smarter and prettier than me can pull that thread up for everyone.
Credits to the Veerkamp clan, as TENCO is (was) our local dealer, which became Holt of California.
An unanswered question was, what did TEC stand for ?

I can't imagine what ten co.... stands for, especially with that immaculate new decal featuring prominently : ), with the crisp outlines of the territory on display. Hmmmm
Presumably though, that dealer was assigned a territory by Caterpillar back in the day? And also presumably this was done country-wide.
That Teenco decal looks a lot better that the Tennco decal on this Atlas Delta 2 Plane
CR: I like that one the best! It has the 2 "blades" logo we used to call it. Been trying to find a clean one to duplicate. JM
TEC -- A major truck and trailer dealership on the I-5 corridor, had a relationship with TENCO through the use of Caterpillar Engines.
