There are an increasing number of postings with "links" that may or may not be associated with the purpose of the forum. Please be cautious and aware of the potential harms of opening links that are not known or posted by known persons. No amount of "protection" is as effective as your ability to control what you open or choose to accept. Report suspicious activity - together we can help maintain the integrity of the forum. - cts

Hi, cts.

I have been deleting on average about two per week of these types of posts for a while now. So far, most of the links have led to games sites but yer just never know. I am running a Linux OS and so have that built in layer of protection but who knows when/if one of these 'visitors' might put up a link to an infected site.

I sent a couple links o posts on the BB to Deebo last night for his perusal as they seemed a little different. One post hadda link which went to a snow prediction site, which is different.

Like cts said, folks, be careful.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi, Folks.

Just bringing this thread back to the top 'coz I just deleted another post with a gaming link in it and blocked that user. Admittedly, it has been a while since I have found any of these but I DO check fairly regularly 'coz I don't want anybody here to have to go through getting rid of a virus or a being subjected to a ransom demand.

ALWAYS be wary of opening links posted by people whom you do not KNOW.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
