I have a D4 cat with a serial#7U40953 and Trans #5H607. Does anyone know how to adjust the flywheel clutch. this does not have the funnel. I believe it is a wet clutch.

Hi Z,
the scans below may help.
The lock nuts are on the rear face of the clutch pressure plate--for want of a better description. Be careful, do not over tighten them as the studs/nuts can strip easily--too loose and the clutch adjustment can slip.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

When you try to turn the adjustment ring be sure to use a large enough tool such as a crowbar

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
