Again found a Caterpillar S-D8lgp and it is also for sale in Washington state.
This has a Cat D9 engine.
It is not known whether this machine was used at the South Pole or in Greenland.

Quad,

Thank you for posting. The blade on this one is different from the rest I have seen (mostly in pictures). It does not look like the air filters are all there, pieces missing? Original Pony tank is gone. Also no drawbar hitch.

Not sure how this would work doing forestry work with the wide pads mixing it up with stumps and logs. Pads look good considering that.

The green algae and one of those unsatisfactory exhaust pipe flappers doesn't augur well for its condition. Still, it's probably easier to fix than the one that's in the crevasse : )

That would be a cool addition to the Antique Powerland museum in Brooks.

Hi, Folks.
ANOTHER one????????????? Damn, these things are breeding like rabbits. LOL.

I'd like to know the origin of that blade. That style of 'sway brace' built onto the front end of the push arms looks like some LeTourneau blades I've seen.

Hi, Quad.
Thanks for posting these photos, M8. Evidence of another one.

Does anybody have any updated information on the one(s) allegedly 'resting' up in Alaska that had a D353 engine and orange paint work?

I also have a photo of the front-mounted long range fuel tank for the tractor.

Deas,

I think Larry Cruz (owner of Pam) ended up with that one. He is planning rescue operations, last I talked with him.

Hi, Glen.
Here's hopin'. It would be good to see it go to a good home instead of being left out there in the bush to simply melt away in iron oxide.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
