Howdy all, I'll be starting on a property clean out shortly, and on said property resides a D13000 power unit. Is this something a person would want? Or better for parts? I have some experience getting old machines running (or not) and selling them for property owners, but I've got zero experience with power units of this age and size. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I think you will find interest in the unit as a whole, where it's located will be a factor though.

Hi, Snakeless.

You say that it is a 'power unit'. Is there currently anything attached to it that it would power? If you can post some photos, that might help people to get their interest up-n-running.

Those D13000 engines went into a good number of applications, among them, 4 different series of the Caterpillar D8 tractors and a LOTTTT of stationary applications as well as a LOTTTT of mostly crawler cranes, face shovels and draglines, etc..

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
