Rear mount method.
Any thoughts on the rear spool setup out there?

I am always amazed at the ingenuity of a persons vision to create something usefull out of a piece of junk laying on the scrap pile!
It did the job (lifting the blade) he designed it to do!
It was me and a show tractor I would keep it on there because it is an oddity! I am sure other people would be interested in seeing it!

The CCU is certainly unique and looks like a worm drive rear axle from an early truck, converted to a CCU. I do know that R.G. LeTourneau's first CCU was built from a Hudson car rear axle. the whole setup is well done, and very worthy of preservation.
