I have an intermittent noise coming from my grader at the lever that shifts the circle sideways. It makes a noise that sounds like the clutches inside are trying to engage, like something is loose or out of adjustment. Just a knocking sound and it is the only lever that does it. I haven't dug too deep into it yet but then again I don't work the old girl that hard either. Anyone have any idea what it is or suggestion of what I should look for?

Hi, JoeG.
Check the return springs. See if it feels like it is returning to neutral position under spring pressure or if it being thrown back to neutral by the clutch itself. Also does that lever line up with the rest of them when not in use.

Here are 2 pages from the 8T spare parts manual that may help.

Thanks Deas, I will take a look at the lever alignment, it is just as you describe though, like it doesn't return to the middle, I can make the noise stop if I keep my hand on that lever, kinda keeps me from adjusting my blade though so it needs addressed. Probably needs a spring from the sounds of it all.
