I just got a 9T212 Cat 12 grader and was wondering if anyone knew if 13 x 24" tires would work in place of the 10 x 24" tires that are on it now they are in real bad shape 1 blown.

They would be huge.

I doubt you could use two together in the back on the tandems without them rubbing each other or the tandem drive housing. You certainly want all 4 tires on the rear the same size because there is no differential between sides or between front and back on each side.

Tires for the 212 are a bit scarce. Seems like several years ago Denman made a commercial tread (or maybe it was a spade grip/farm tread) for that size.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Miller sell various x24 sizes (they list an 11.5x24 with 10x24 in parentheses I guess as a compatible. Take a look at the various options on this page http://www.millertire.com/categories/rear-tractor-tires/
I get my lawn tractor rubber from these guys and have been happy with them. They have a bunch of less common stuff as well.

I have 11.2 x 24 tires on our machine. They work well and there are no clearance issues. These were new old stock Goodyear with more than adequate load rating for the machine.

I have a friend that also used the 11.2 x 24 tires on his 212 as well. We bought these from Schwanke Equipment in Wilmar, MN.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
