My parts book says 17A1-up uses a 4F2813 shaft (don't know if that would include the D7E)?
D6C uses a 3J4469 shaft. Both for the #25 CCU.

We borrowed a #25 cable unit from a friend that had a 17A for our 47A D7E.The shaft was too short for our D7E.We could not find a shaft anywhere.Ended up having one made as I recall

If I remember right when looking for one for my 9U- D6 a D7 and D8 winch is geared higher due to the slower turning engines. The D6 winch is geared lower due to the faster RPMs. It will spin faster and may not work well.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
