What’s the story with the buggy canopy on 30s and 60s. I’ve seen them on both Best and Cat models, mainly logging/cruiser setups. Were these canopy’s specific to anything? Did they come off something else and retrofitted after the fact? Can these be put on a standard top seat thirty or were there other modifications to accommodate the canopy? Thanks

The canopy top shows up in the Parts Catalog for Caterpillar Tractor Attachments, Form 3028, as Part # W-832-A Folding Top Group.

This is for the Caterpillar Sixty, for machines 3693-A to 5532-A and PA-1000 to PA-13516. I don't have any Thirty information.

seems to me that I read somewhere (maybe on here years ago) that the cruiser canopy was an adaption from a model T Ford or that someone adapted said canopy to suit.

I stand to be corrected.

Cheers,

Eddie B.
