Sparky 2010 loaned me a cool book about the history of TENCO Tractor Co. Neat photos of things they developed. Apparently, some dealers invented things to suit the needs of the local clientele. JM
It would really be neat if this tailseat pictured is the same one I have parked at home!
JM, in '68 one of the rice farmers south of Grand Island had the whole fleet of 105's on full track. His ranch foreman had been with Tenco for many years. One did not see many Green Combines on full track. - cts
Kind of interesting to see how that tail-seat was equipped when it left the dealership and was delivered.
Dealerships here in the valley or over on the coast have had to modify factory equipment to sell in this market back then and still a practice that happens today.
Hi, juiceman.
For us 'pore, iggerant DowNunda residents', what was the purpose of the 'horizontal windmill' hardware on the front of the Diesel Seventy?
This kew-ree-yuss mind would like to know.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
CR: Per the book, it implies that the toolbar idea originated at Tenco? More photos. JM
What is the title of that book?
It’s always interesting to see how people modified new equipment. I can tell you nothing we use in the vineyard is how it came from the factory either, everything gets modified to how we like it.
Hi, juiceman.
Here is a photo of another Holt ditcher from 1910. It is quite probably the ORIGINAL high sprocket drive.
