Hello,
I have a 17A that has two spots on the back side of the blade for rippers that are used when in reverse. Dose anyone have a schematic or part number for these so I can fabricate a pair of them? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to ACMOC Wholland, you have found the right place for finding information for your Caterpillar equipment.
I suggest you change your profile to allow your town or your general location to show. This will help others to help you without having to ask your location.
My parts books for the blades used on your D7 17A do not show any back-up rippers. I believe all back-up rippers for your tractor are either aftermarket or fabricated. Pictures would be a big help. Someone here will probably be able to identify the brand and help you.

My 14A has three backup rippers. They are seriously heavy duty. I will post a picture of them and one with a ripper chained in the up position. The guy I bought the dozer from hadn't changed the points in a while. I was able to find the replacement points at our construction side John Deere Dealer. They work very well trying to penetrate hard ground and in rocky areas.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
