Lock up your pets, girlfriend and precious iron! (Not necessarily in that order mind you).

D6Pete rumoured to be on the prowl in NorCal. I saw him in person and luckily my stuff was chained down to the trailer.

He said he isn't buying anymore iron, but he did not say he was buying any LESS for Australia!

I might have to send him away from here. Is he filling in for Deas? Is he really a notorious hoarder, or does he just like to be sociable and do his meeting and greeting in person?

I am just being the smart**s that I can be. He is a very welcomed visitor from "Down Under" that takes the time to enjoy our golden state. I will make time for his visit and likely direct him to some serious co-hoarders that he could relate to. I will begin having a guest register here to document all of the fine folks that have stopped in to say hello and talk old machinery.

A great way to begin our summer! JM

Hi, juiceman.

You have EVERY right to be worried. The Australian Special Air Services regiment was, by all accounts, about the most effective unit for its size in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan and they get their operators from the Australian population. AND they SPECIALISE in small team COVERT missions.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Deas -- are those "covert operators" known to wear LIME GREEN shirts, shorts and flip flops while operating Caterpillar equipment? Same MO as the one with the mini-home on wheels that has often been seen at various shows in the USA? Hope that one is not on a mission to remove some yellow iron from some unsuspecting dirt farmer. - cts

Hi, cts.

In typical 'classified ops' fashion, I can neither confirm nor deny ANYTHING. And you should have KNOWN that that would be the response. LOL.

Travel light, strike fast, extract BEFORE the enemy knows you've been there - or who MIGHT have been the culprit.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Yes, Mr. Plant. That is why some of us must get up earlier than others and do our "poaching" discretely. Sometimes I send decoy trucks to confuse folks.

Pete has not been here to sign my guest book yet, but our go to guy was making a rare house call and thought that he would enjoy looking the pile over. Plans are in the works to centralize most of the stash for easier viewing. Stay tuned. JM

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
