I vaguely remember "Dragnet" - wasn't around TVs much back when it was airing DowNunda. But I do hava 'kwestyun': How can names be changed when none have been mentioned? LOL.

IF I am reading the 'sitchayshun' correctly, the particular power line which was hit only supplies power to a well pump. It does happen to be the well pump that supplies the water for dust suppression during the show - - - - AND it draws from the mains supply for the ranch AND for a fair lump of the town. Hence, "lights out".

I suspect that the 'culprit' may well have learned something from the event as he/she/him/her/they/them/it is NOT very many people's 'village idiot' - unlike a certain past culprit who walked a street pad equipped D4 across a concrete embedded cattle guard some years ago and did damage to the concrete that required around $4,000 of repairs - - - when there was a wire stock gate right next to said cattle guard - on BOTH sides.

My inside from a member of the BBQ crew that spent 3 days and never left the BBQ pit. The vintage planes had parachute jumpers the first day. Using vintage type parachutes, that don't give the control of newer designs. No injuries thankfully. One jumper landed on a house south of the dig area. And of all the houses in Santa Margarita it was the house of the cranky woman that always complains of dust and noise from the dig area.

I reckon I could point right to that house 'coz i only ever heard ONE person complain multiple times about that show. Funny thing is, I suspect that if she was told that she had just won $5mill., she would complain 'coz it wasn't $10mill. Wunna the most DETERMINEDLY UNhappy I have ever met.

'Ackshully', I didn't have that MIS-fortune. One year, one of the organizers - who shall remain nameless - did suggest that I go visit the 'Santa Margarita Fun Police' and 'take one for the team'. DID NOT HAPPEN.
