So a guy reached out to us having found this old sprocket on a logging road in SW Montana and was hoping someone could help him identify it. It has 7 bolt holes 4-1/4" spacing, 7 spokes, 27 teeth, and the diameter of the sprocket is 28-1/4". There are faint signs of yellow paint on the one side. It weights somewhere between 90-94LBS.
Cast markings appear to be AB72 or A872 and 8775D.
Any thoughts?
This sprocket should be for TD9 INTERNATIONAL.

Interesting Bob! Any idea of an approximate year? Says on tractor data TD9s were produced 1939-1962!

Any idea why it’s called a snow sprocket? Must stop the snow getting compacted.. apparently IH switched to yellow 1956-1959 to compete with Caterpillar.
Good idea Deas! Just saw your compatriots driving the big stuff at Elkader, was some show!
