You might be able to find some specs online. Look for rotation direction, and impulse lag.

Have searched but couldn't find that much info. Guess the Eisemann was the factory spec.

What are you calling a magnet?
The MJA 4 B 112 uses a CL523 coil.
What magneto do you have on the 28?

Sorry, my misstake. Magneto is the right word, autospelling(swedish) on the cellphone makes me crazy sometimes.
When I bought my Cat28 the magneto was missing, seller knew be bad it somewere but could not find it. Now after two years he contacted me and said he had found it, I'm not sure if it's the correct magneto, thats why I ask the board.

My AB manual says it takes a MJA4D102 to replace the RT-4, CM-4 and G-4 magneto.
The MJA4B112 seems to be a special type variation (application not specified) is base mounted, clockwise rotation with 30 degree timing range.

I have both MJA-4B-112 and MJA-4C-102 on the Shelf , BOTH are left rotation and only visual Difference I can see is 4B-112 has a Manual Advance/ Retard Lever on it . Those AB's are recognized as a very Good Mag . the 28 may have an Earlier version Of the Eiseman Maybe an G4 Ed 4 or possibly a Eiseman CT4 . An Eiseman CM4 would fit in Perfect . LJ

Thanks, guess I'll take it anyway, better than nothing... He talked about a "very big magneto" so I think the Eisemann is still there somewhere.
