Looking for any info on American Bosch Batteryless Generator Model # ARKF130/6-000L. Have one in my shop that appears to be missing wires coming out of Generator to Light Switch/Voltage Limiter Relay unit. All Generator componets to check OK but came in without Field Wires connected to Light Switch/Voltage Limiter Relay. Thanks KenP

I have the info on the generator. Can you make out the color of the wires coming from the generator? The blue & yellow leads combine to a single wire going to the regulator coil with the switch coming off the junction. The white & red leads combine to a single wire that goes to what looks like a buss strap on the regulator.
I'd post the wiring diagram but I'd have to dismantle a manual that is about six inches thick to be able to scan.

Thanks for the info & pics. Got the unit wired up correctly but still does not operate. Do you have any resistance specs for Field Coils? I have 2 ohms resistance through Blue & Red & 7 Ohms between White & Generator Field Case. I suspect that the Regulating Resistance Field Coil is bad. Any info & specs on this Generator would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ken P

if you were to seperate the red and white and test from the blue and yellow to the white you should have a circuit if and you should also have a circuit from red to the blue and yellow
if you dont have a circuit between white and the blue and yellow but do between the red and the blue and yellow it would tell me you have either

a faulty resistor

a faulty brush or brush holder

a faulty armature

if you dont have a circuit between red and the blue and yellow but you do between the white an the blue and yellow it would tell me you have a faulty field winding

I would suspect either a brush is stuck in its holder or a brush is worn to the point it is no longer contacting the armature as these are the two most common faults in gennys
