Getting my pump back today. The rack was stuck because the #1 barrel was stuck in the up position due to fuel contamination. My question is how to install the pump in proper time. The manual says to put the engine on TDC of #1. It says nothing about what to do to get the pump to #1 TDC. CCjersey... anyone... any help?

Hello, I've got a Cat 955K that the rack is stuck. (The machine is a freebie) It had water in the oil and the rack stuck. I have changed to oil but now I'm wondering if I remove the rear governor cover and governor, can I get to the little shaft. I took the small 2 bolt and cover off the front end of the injection pump to tap the shaft loose but it's in the rear position. What can I do to move it 1/2" toward the front?
