As noted in the other thread, got her home. Two tires aired up, one flat, one shredded. On a positive note, the old lock ring rims are essentially old time grain truck / semi wheels so they are still available new! 😮 If anyone else runs in to this, they are standard tube type demountable rims and hendersonwheel.com has a complete catalog. For the #9 Auto Patrol, she has (front) 20x8.25 tires which are on a 20 x 6.5" rim (PN 6520LWD which includes the base and the ring - $238 each). The rears are 24x9 tires and I chose a 24x9 rim (which looks to be a 12 inch tire) which is PN 9024LWD ($399 each). Spacer rims for the duals are also available, though not in the catalog, 24x4 were available (SB4024K - $40.80 each). Pricey for the whole setup but WAY worth it in the long run if I have to stick with lock ring rims.
On another note I pulled the plugs on the engine. Good / bad news. Good news is I pulled a crankcase plate and could here the fluid I pumped in the plug holes dripping down on at least a couple of the cylinders. Bad news is 1 cylinder is corroded and the other is significantly corroded. I have placed a slurry of oil / Kroll / PB Blaster in the hole with no drainage as of yet. But all is not lost, I noticed a nifty gantry crane in the HF catalog that is just tall enough to lift the cylinder head off so I can hone the cylinders 😊
