I know I’ve seen a template to line up and drill the holes for the starters does anyone happen to have the picture? I know I’ve seen a post but can’t find them…does the d2 share the same? I have access to a template for that but not sure if there the same? Thank you for the help

The D2 and the D4 are not the same. I just did a D4 this winter. I had a parts tractor that was drilled and used it to make a template. I m not sure if I I still have the dimensions written down but I did keep the template. I'm pretty sure there's someone on the website that will have dimensions. I can check for my notes and template.

This is what I have. The template was made

from a factory 7u bellhousing. I drilled my 2t which I checked and it's the same starter up until the end of the 7u. From memory my 2t was machined surfaces and the 7u was more of a casting. The measurements transferred over just fine and the hole I drilled turned out good.

Carbide hole saw and no lube

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
