Hello folks,

I'm thinking about looking at a later model 7U. It is advertised as a 1957. I currently own a 1952 sn 7U18985. I am wondering if anyone knows when the oil clutch came in? If it does have an oil clutch, is there limited crossover in related parts? I thought I had heard about different oil galleries in the engine block making things not simple to swap between. I don't suppose it would have in seat pony start? Looks super straight. The track chains and sprockets are sacked but I've got good ones on my 7U. A gaping hole in the exhaust manifold. What's with that? What about the differences between a D4N and later D4D winch? It has newer winch controls. Is that very nice to have? What other differences should I think about?

Oil clutches on the 7U started with 7U29734, but could be opptioned. D4D winch is a nice heavy duty winch.
