I have a early 8C 70 round and am looking for the correct drop edge number.

My supplier gave me a 4T6626. It looks like it is for the open straight bowl as the bolts are right. My existing edge is actually curved about 1" or so.
The book gives me a 4F7825 drop or 5F2717 flat.

Does the frog or bowl have an extra set of holes in it? Or the cutting should have two rows of holes?, you just take the bolts out and lower the edge.

The 4T6626 is the current number for the 8C 70 (stinger arrangement)
Length 55.38"
Width 13"
Thickness 0.88"
1-row, 16 holes (off center)

What I do not understand is that the existing edge is curved about 1 inch. Not top to bottom but side to side. The new edge is straight.

If the bolt pattern matches for the straight cutting edge you may have to cut it in half to fit the curve surface. Not sure if a large power hack saw, band saw would cut it, or else a matabo.

I have a flat cut set of edges coming from another supplier. Shall see what that center edge looks like.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
