56 d6 9u hyd blade problem

can you have someone look while you try to operate the blade to pin point the general location of the problem?

had to shut it off couldn't get the blade off. stuck pin, didn't want to wreck the pump. Although I suspect its wrecked, With the snap I heard and oil eveywhere must be a gear. Going to take the guards off and have a look.

Check the u joint from front crankshaft pulley to hyd control .Also could have a broken cylinder rod at piston in one of the hydraulic cylinders .Pumps don't usually fail all the sudden with a bang .Thats a vane type pump in the tank .
My money is on a broken rod

I forgot there are hoses there too !Maybe just a busted hose thats hard to get at on that set up

You blew a hose. remove the hood and top rad. shroud n have look. not with the engine running though.

Took belly pan off looks like it was just one of the hoses rubbing on the frame. Must have been one of the loose c-frame pins made the noise hopefully. Took the hose off. Any ideas where to get theses fixed.

Not sure of the ends on your hose but most larger auto parts stores (NAPA) repairs hydraulic hoses and almost all Farm Equipment Dealerships do hoses also.

Rather hard to change to a different type,so most likely still the o ring flange,the original had bolt down clamps on the hose.If it was changed to crimped clamps you may still be in luck as Cat had some that where reusable of those,but I think those where being fazed out when I discovered they where reusable(15 years ago). Hopefully a hydraulic shop would know about the Cat reusable clamps even if they don't have the tooling to reuse.As always picture are your friend for more complete information,but I am not able to do that so understand if you don't ether.
