The 44 came off like a textbook operation. Notice the input shaft. I wonder if at one time the coupling set screw loosened and allowed the coupling to slide back and the machine was run with maybe ice in the hyd tank. The guy I got this dozer from never covered anything. I drained water from about
every spot rain could seep in.
I thought everyone should note this shaft, another maintenence item to be
aware of. I have not had a problem in two years so I'll reuse the unit as is.
