Ok,
I have an extra 42mt 24 volt starter. I was wondering if it would be sufficient to start a D7 17A. I know most of the big trucks going down the road these days a equiped with a 42mt so I really don't see why it wouldn't start a D7. Is there any other reason it wouldn't work?????? If it will what nose part number does it need on it, and exactly what starter drive?
Thanks,
Todd

The available adapter nose housing only correctly fits the 40 & 50MT starters.

Thanks OM. I wish it was better news. The 50mt is the way to go it looks like. I guess that will be the next purchase.
