hello everyone.
we have a cat gen set with a 3406 engine. i am about to do an oil change on it and did not know the type of oil to be used in it. would 15w-40 be okay to use in it, or is there a different weight of oil i should be using. thanks in advance.

if it helps at all, this generator is goin be doin some serious work running a lee norris miner and shuttle buggy for our coal mining exhibit at the brownsville steam show.

Best bet is change oil with whats been in it .If you don't know then a DEO 15-40 will work.
