Hi from NZ.

Looking to set the float level on my 22 and R4. I understand they both use the Zenith K5 carb. What is the correct distance from the float-bowl lid surface to the bottom of the floats when I hold the floats up (needle and seat closed) ?
And is this measurement the same for both tractors?

Many thanks.

Peter.

Over on ACME I recently asked about the float level on a RD6 pilot motor and our Aussie Legend, Mr. EDB once again came to our rescue, so I will transfer his scanned pages from ACME over to ACMOC and hope they help, because he lists specifically setting the R4 float level. You will also see the note that all Zenith carburetors have a scratch mark inside the fuel bowl that indicates the correct fuel level, I have seen that scratch mark on my Zenith T5T off my 2 Ton.
regards
Mike

I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
