While searching the web I came across FP Smith tractor parts. They seem to be a valuable resource for old machinery.

I will be posting a link for eBay for d2 and d4 pony motor replacement piston rings. The are not cat parts but work. The rings are a chrome composition for compression . They fit standard pistons and there is a plus . 010 set for slightly worn standard bores.

The are compression and oil for both standard and plus . 010. The seller is in the process of setting up a link for the cat part numbers. He worked with me when nobody else would.

The parts are not for the intended application, but work and fit. I will keep you posted.

As promised cat rings for the pony motor d2 and d4. Standard to plus .030. compression and oil.
I have used these and the work and fit properly. I make no money on this. Looking for bearings for the rods now. I can make my own crank bearings . If anyone know where i can get standards. Cat quit selling the standard bearings.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
