Restoring a 4G, D4 and fell in love with the belt pulley from the start. Sadly a previous owner tried to push the machine on the pulley. At first I thought it was just damaged paper but when I went to strip it down to send off for rebuild I noticed a broken stud (Pictured). Looking for a used 1a2233 with our without the paper. About 12" OD with an 8-1/2" face. I can braise it back on but my understanding is they (understandably) will not repaper it for balance/liabibity reasons. Honestly, I would be happy with any pulley that would work with this unit. Not sure if a newer 3F6139 would work or not.

Also looking for a throttle bracket 3B3662, also cracked and broken. I can work miracles with JB Weld but this may be too much. Also pictured.

I had a spider (center section) from a D2 belt drive with a busted lug just like yours and used a grinder to prep the edges and used a mig weld up . The cast took the weld fine , touched up with a grinder and shipped to paper pulleys ink and didn't have any complaints .

I may give that a try. That pulley is definitely like looking for a unicorn at this point.

Appriciate the advice!

I agree with Moulding, weld it up, maybe hit it with the needle gun to make it less obvious, and send it in. They really don't spin that fast, and if one was to assess the risk involved in running a belt pulley, proximity to the running belt would far exceed the risk of that weld failing in my opinion.

Sounds like a good idea. Might even throw some paint on it for good measure. Thanks for the reply!

Grind it off and try again. What you can do to make your "aim" better is make a plywood template that fits over the posts top and bottom, basically a ring of holes in a sheet of ply about yea big - two sheets. That will locate them correctly, then tack four sides of the post, then weld two sides, then the other two sides and you'll be done. Should be pretty easy
