I am looking for a short block 3304 pc engine (out of a 920 loader). Mine has a rod through the block. Let me know what you have. Joel

Quinns in Fresno list a used 3304 block for sale. There are plenty of aftermarket new 2P8774 blocks for sale.

Thanks for the leads, guys. I appreciate it. Just in case there is anyone else looking for one of these blocks (or engines)- the new block number for the 2P8774 is 1N3754. The problem being that this is NOT a direct replacement. One could be confused by the number of "new replacement" blocks available, but they do not interchange. Cat introduced the new spacer plate design and that is what the 1N3754 block is. An old head will not work on this new block. Furthermore, the rocker shaft, thrust washers, and a number of seals etc. are different as well.

Joel59,

Somebody is trying to sell you an updated version of the 3304 because that's what they have for sale.

All you need is the block from Ebay that OM pasted the link to and you wouldn't have to change all that other stuff; head, rockers, seals, etc.

All of the parts that you need to put yours back together is readily available direct from Cat, except for the block. There is absolutely no need to update to a spacer plate type engine.

Carbondale is down near Scranton--close to I81 which goes straight up thru mid NY to Syracuse.
