Good afternoon!  After getting my D4 7U running, it seems something to protect my head would be a good idea before going into the woods.  I am in Roanoke Virginia, so closer is better.  Pictures and prices are important too.  Thank you for helping save my thick skull!!

I just happened to find this cab years ago, but I think one could be built like it, Check with used equipment yards, they may have something laying around, they can also put a locator on their websites also.

That old Fleco stuff is difficult to come by. It seems to turn up when you aren't looking. You may have to do like whomever used to own my Fleco root rake and duplicate it as best you can like Rome mentioned. I've tried to find teeth for my stuff but I'll just do like someone prior and build clones as needed.

I wouldn't mind trying to build one except for I am unaware of anyone local that can make the bends. Does anyone have any suggestions on bending? What is the tube, 3" maybe 1/4 or thicker wall thickness? Elton

I was a young man in 1980 and worked for a guy that needed to bend a pipe like you are describing. I asked him how, he laughed and told me to dig a hole about the size of a 15-16" car tire laying on its side with a rounded bottom. He mussed and fussed with the shape of the hole bottom to get the couture he wanted. We were working in a gravel pit and had access to sand to fill the pipe and a large loader to run over the pipe in the hole. The bend was nominal but it did work. I remember there was a short learning curve. If done at the same time they will have some symmetry.
Hope that helps
good luck.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
