I dont have an answer, but if it came out of the factory in early 1945, it could possibly have been in Olive Drab paint and different or no decals. I had a 5T for a while and it seemed to have been gray from the factory. We thought that it might have been Navy in the beginning. Just some ideas to consider. Good Luck with it. Grant.
