That looks like the old pan that Thropp Oil used to have sitting up the 5 Mile!
i am moving a cat 90 pan tomorrow in Connecticut. Will get picture
This one is in western NY. Clearing out an estate. It'll be going to scrap soon- but really is restorable. They already scrapped (mostly IH stuff) (2) TD 25's, 250 crawler loader, 175B, HD 21, Northwest excavator, old Macs and kenworths, Fiat Allis 14C, etc. Still have a TD 20E, TD 15's, 175C, Some Mac and Kenworth stuff. I'm sure scrap price would buy this old scraper.
Joel, long shot but if there is an inter-axle power divider on a set of Rockwell SQDDs, I'll take it! : ) I'd like to restore that function on my Kenworth LW923. Best approach would be the whole diff head.
Neil, There are a bunch of rears down at the shop I know. I'll check it out. Is an SQHD different from an SQDD?
Thanks Joel, an SQHD is a single reduction axle, and an SQDD (all SxDDs) is a double reduction - looks like a Mack rear axle. The first reduction is either a spiral bevel or hypoid, and the second reduction is either a bevel or straight spur drive. My diffs are 6.38, and I have an RTO-9513 that I doubled the reduction on the rear of. It was originally a twin-stick, and for a while I had the RoadRanger and the splitter gearbox installed - it was good for 75mph on the downhill! : ) I eventually took the secondary out so it's back to a more sane 60mph which is still 12mph more than the listed top speed of 48mph. Had an N-series Cummins originally but someone transplanted a 280hp 8V71 into it, and with that I used to haul 43 metric tonnes (about 90k#). I looked like Popeye rowing that thing down the road : )
I also have another LW924 with the 44k# axles which I can't quite remember what the designation is - SSDD perhaps? Double reduction equivalent of the "standard" 44s
Where are this pieces located exactly..?? Chum..

Hey Chum,
If you put this one behind O' Dick in some good potato dirt, he'd have dirt boiling over the sides in nothin' flat! Go over to Frewsburg and get it! Eisert had a 70 that they pulled which "he" played with.
