Does anyone know if a D7 7M piston is the same as a RD6, 6B3912 is the casting # on my RD6, i think it changed up to 3B9737, thanks

Come on somebody must know. From the RD series D6,D7,D8, to D7E and the D8K the piston was 5 3/4. But way above my knowledge level to know just how interchangeable they all are.

I don't know there answer, I couldn't find a match for the part number in the RD8 parts manual. You might get more responses if this was posted in the discussion pages.

Answer is , yes, the numbers cross, in fact 6B3912 and 3B9737 show as used in D17,000 D13,000, etc, and cross to 7M and others, including the RD6.

Just a little insight, but my D17000 is early and had the six ring set up. Just food for thought.
