Not sure but I think this has been discussed before. I might be remembering wrong, but I thought the 4400G and the D4400 used the same liner. What is your part number?
Hi joshjd37,
STEPHEN is correct i just looked in the parts book for both R4 And D4 both have part number 7b4348 and are availble form Cat.
Regards
Steven,
I have the Part # For the my earlier R-4 is 3b2526 I have one New 7B4348 for a D4 and it is a little different than the ones removed from the R4. I'm wondering if the earlier RD4 would be the same liner 3b2526? Does anyone have a parts book handy for a RD4.
Thanks, Josh:help::help::help::help:

From form 8886 6G931-6G5383:
#931-1587 liner 3B2526
#1588-3278 liner 7B4348
Effective with#6G3279 liner 7B4348
Ask your dealer if the latest part# superceeds all earlier liners, and do the D4 liners cross paths in the end
OK Thanks for the info Guys.
Well called Cat they say 7B4348 is the new # for 3b2526 and there would be a note in system if it would not work on earlier blocks. ill have to recheck tonight but I'm pretty sure the R4 is 4 1/4" bore and the D4 is 4 1/2" bore if that's the case my pistons wont work. and also there is a second boss around the top of the 7B4348 I don't see the 7B4348 working but hope I'm wrong. Unless the 7b4348 I have was boxed wrong. my serial # for the R4 is 6G2412.
That wider shallow groove near the top is for the crevice seal a flat rubber seal that helps seal the coolant. It is on all newer liners.
Ok Thanks, I'm still at the bore size ??? now.
