I have a complete D318 (6 cylinder engine) out of an "1957" 8T motor grader - complete with pony motor. I believe these were also used in D6 dozers of the same era.  In case anyone is looking for any of these kinds of parts. The diesel motor was running when we removed but blowing a lot of white smoke.  We just pulled it to start it so not sure how long since the pony ran but it's all there.
I also have a few magnetos, sediment bowl parts and misc.  Was cleaning out an old trailer of parts this weekend.  Please text me with questions or offers: (320)250-4869. I am located just SE of St. Cloud MN.
Thanks for looking,
Clint

Late model 8T's s/n 8T16361-up with oil clutch have a different engine unique to the grader. Different oil pumps, sumps, crankshafts, flywheels etc. that do not interchange with anything else.

Hi Team,
some scans about the Grader Oil Clutch differences that OM mentions above--a one off application for the crankshaft etc. as engine oil is pumped from a special engine oil pump via the longer than standard rear main crankshaft main bearing  journal and longer rear main bearing shells and oil passages in a special  D318 main engine cylinder block to accommodate all these differences.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Someone on here will have an answer to your question. I didn't think there was much difference from the 8T to the 9K but I'm really not sure?

9k transmission is way different. I am pretty handy and would not tackle it. Maybe find a 8t transmission also and do it.
