Turns free. Running when removed to convert to electric start. Missing electric starter , carb, mag, and bottom drive gear that was used on the conversion kit. Stored inside. Pickup only in SW MO. $100

no the 315 series engines have the pilot engine mounted above the bell housing and inline with the main engine crankshaft.

Thanks for the info. Looking for side mount pony motor to fit a 112 serial number 68E400 if any exist. It appears if this pony motor was removed it has bolt holes to bolt on an electric starter where the drive goes through the flywheel housing. Is there an electric starter that works with the existing flywheel?

Still have but it mounts up top on back of engine.

Not familiar with that serial, but it sounds like the infamous "Buzz Bomb" starting engine if it mounts to the right side of the engine. That would definitely be hard to source. JM

Since the serial number is not jogging anybody's memory, is the engine a 3 cylinder diesel maybe the same as RD 6 ?

68E400 is a 1960 model with D330a (4-1/2" bore) engine and whats referred to as a "buzz bomb" pony motor.
Same engine as is found in the D4C and D tractors.

4 cylinder naturally aspirated diesel......
