dpendzic: I have been searching on ebay but can't come up with what I need. Probably using the wrong search words for the arm rests. Could you give a contact name or number from the site you got your parts from? Thank you.

I talked with the guy at the local upholstery shop and he suggested I cut the back from a sheet of 3/4" marine plywood and bring to the shop and he will put some 3 inch foam down and cover with the black material he used on the seat. There is a couple good pictures in the parts book I have for the pattern. He didn't quote a price but thought around $70 for the pair. Sounds like the way to go for now. I will need the anchors that go into the wood for the cap screws to thread into. That shouldn't be a problem to find them.

One minor upgrade on my 5U is to have the side cushions wrap over top of the seat pan, as well as being down the side to take hip contact and act as an arm rest. If yours don't already come like that, it's a great upgrade that doesn't really detract from the tractor's appearance

I agree with Neil--without them going over the top edge and down, your arm gets pinched if they become a little loose

Do you have a part number for the wrap around arm cushion? I think Finney will need that to know the ones were talking about. Finney has an eBay listing for the wrap around type your talking about that my fit. They list the Cat part numbers.

Hahn Tractor Seats,
208-634-6848

Gary & Dawn Jeffus have been working with John for quite some time and have taken over production of the Hahn seats. Last June I got a complete seat set for my Cat 22 and will vouch that they are just as top quality and original as they always have been when John made them himself. You will not be disappointed.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
