Looks like the old type Ford master cylinder to me.
4B8987 Plug [cap] is $11.92 from Cat gasket must be included, 4B8988 does not show but could have changed part #s check with Cat.
Ok that's not bad. 1961 Corvette uses the same but they want 55.00 so looks like I will get from cat
Plug the number in to ebay!!!!!
Now the question is did someone put a different master cylinder on it in its lifetime my cap measures 1 1/4 outside of treads and I don't know what the cat one measures

seem to recall most of the M/C's or indeed most brake components, were Wagner or Lockheed.

4B8987 is 1-1/4 UNEF which is 18 tpi.
