I am looking for a complete starting engine clutch and pinion assembly for my D6 5R.

I am in no rush, but if anyone has a complete one laying around to sell, I would be interested in purchasing it if the price is right.

Do you mean the pinion gear sleeve, IF909? If not, I am not sure what you mean by missing the outside sleeve.

Yes the 1f909 sleeve is missing on but the pinion 13teeth is on.

Unfortunately the sleeve and all the parts that attach and make the sleeve function as it is supposed to function is what I need most.

Though, I might consider seeing if I can find a source for the sleeve and all the parts I need for it.

Do you have a picture of what you have and a price you are looking to get?

I am looking for the entire assembly that you see being held by the person in this photo.

Hello, do you know if the parts from a 9u would be the same? Or how to tell the difference? Bought pony motor parts years ago from a guy that converted to electric start but that was before I knew the difference between 4R and 9U and I can’t remember what he had. I am near Lacrosse Washington if that is close to you. Mike

From what I can gather looking at the parts for the 4R/5R and 9U, the only difference with the pony starter assembly is the lever. 3b3537 for the 5R and 4f8193 for the 9U. I feel like a different lever isn't something that would make or break the ability to replace the starter clutch assembly in either of these tractors.

Yeah, I have acquired what I am looking for. Though I am tempted to buy every one I can find. I feel like it is one of the weakest points of the tractor and having spares might be nice.

The trick with that assembly, is to learn to properly adjust, lubricate and use, they will last a very long time and work well when used as directed, they get damaged and fail if not.
