Do you have what the Hyster manual calls "Tie Plates" that bolt under the fenders to give the upper Hyster attachment points something to bolt to? They are the same length as the fenders and have a heavy weldment to bolt to. I dont know about later D4s, but I believe that all of the "U series" and earlier need those plates. Grant.
It attached by 6 bolts to my old dozer.
