Selling a 1941 Cat D2 5J 5046SP. I got it as a parts tractor for my 5U. I took the pony motor off as well as the starter pinion drive assembly. They are no longer on the tractor. That's about all I foresee needing from it and I would like to free up some shed space.
Diesel engine is stuck. I haven't really tried to get it free. Not sure of the internal condition. Hour meter doesn't appear to be working. Serial number tag matches the tag on the rear end.
Track chains are right at 100% worn. There are 30 on each side with the smaller front idlers. Pads are 12 inches wide and the grousers look decent. It has the top carrier roller as well as the protective track tin still in place.
Transmission seems to be stuck in neutral. Can't really move the shifter nor the main clutch. Steering clutches are free but each of them move when the other is pulled indicating a worn rear end of the tractor. Drawbar is really worn as you can see in the pictures.
Tractor has a decent hood and both side panels are still there. Fenders are decent as well.
Has a homemade looking blade setup with some kind of hydraulic tank and pump mounted but no cylinders. Currently have the blade off the tractor.
All in all a pretty worn machine but hopefully someone can get some use out the rest of the parts.
Asking $600 for the tractor and the blade along with it.
Located in NE Iowa. Let me know if you have any questions.
