Additional to Neil's content, you may find the steering clutches so worn the drum will be difficult to remove and that is "IF" they are not so rusted as to have compressed the springs so far that you can not remove the retainer clips. D2 is famous for having these issues, do your research, it may be easier and cheaper to buy the complete steering clutch assembly if you can find availability. -- Best of Luck - cts
