This machine is excess inventory and is available for pick up at no charge. It finished its work on a private ranch and was parked sometime ago. D81H 3647 starts and runs well. All controls work. It has some freeze cracks in the block, one large one repaired with JB Weld and a couple others that do not leak. The magneto is fresh and the carburetor has been kitted. It has a decent LeTorneau blade and the undercarriage is in great condition. The bushings show little wear and have not been turned. Because of sitting for 30+ years the clutch has a coating of rust and will not quite toggle-in. That should correct itself with an hour or so of use, or it could be adjusted. The engine runs well, but appreciates maybe 15 minutes or so of pony pre heat. Here is a video of its first start:  https://youtu.be/cPWIJdoYemc

Where are the tractors located? If in the northwest I would be interested in giving them a new home. Thanks, Mike

Thanks for checking the ad. Sorry I neglected that detail. They are in the Flathead Valley, Montana, north of Missoula about 50 miles. Hope this helps. Jeff

If anybody is interested, I have a complete D-8 1H engine less radiator that I would sell for scrap price. It was used as an irrigation engine. It is not running and is likely stuck. Located in NE WY.

1oldiron,
I am interested as I have my Dad's D8 2u which needs some help. I believe most parts will interchange. Would like to take a look and work something out. I have more D8 level work here at my place I would like to finish. Doc 😛olson, MT
