oldbeek, the RD6 mag hangs upside down, I reckon it's a Eisemann RC-2Q, someone will confirm

Yup that’s right. I have 2 Eisemanns but I don’t think I have enough parts between the two to get a functional one. My RD 6 has a Fairbanks Morse on it. Not sure of the type. I am actually needing this one for my 11 grader.

I dismantled 3 magnetos EISEMANNS with a small lever on side maybe could help with parts.

Well I have a good cap that uses a rotor like a distributor. But I don’t Have the rotor. The other cap I have has brushes and is badly corroded. I have 2 good rotors for that cap. My points are good. I also think my coils are good. About 7k ohms and don’t test like they are shorted. I am not sure about the condenser.

I can use a cap or rotor to give me a good set. A coil if you have one that the casing is not split. And if you have a good condenser I will take that as well.

Let me know what you have.

Thanks BJ

What rotor do you have? The flat style that goes with the cap that has spring loaded brushes?

My books are showing the RD6 using either the Eisemann GV2Q or the Eisemann RT-2Q.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
